  • 60ml prickly pear syrup (from the fruit of the nopal cactus)
  • 60ml tequila blanco
  • 30ml lime juice
  • 30ml orange liqueur
  • Ice
  • Lime and salt for the rim

Method

  1. Rub a lime around the glass rim and dip in salt.
  2. Combine the tequila, lime juice, orange liqueur, and prickly pear syrup in a shaker with ice.
  3. Shake hard until cold.
  4. Strain over fresh ice in the salted glass.
  5. Garnish with a lime wheel; the drink glows a deep magenta from the cactus fruit.
