Arkansas Cheese Dip

  • 500g white American cheese, cubed
  • 250ml whole milk
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tomato, diced
  • 2 pickled jalapenos, minced
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder
  • 1 garlic clove, grated
  • Tortilla chips

Method

  1. Melt the butter in a saucepan and cook the garlic 30 seconds.
  2. Add the cheese and milk and melt over low heat, stirring constantly, until smooth.
  3. Stir in the tomato, jalapenos, cumin, and chili powder.
  4. Keep warm over the lowest heat, loosening with a splash of milk if it thickens.
  5. Serve hot with tortilla chips.
