  • 60g cocoa powder
  • 150g sugar
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 500ml milk
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • TO SERVE
  • 8 hot split buttermilk biscuits

Method

  1. Whisk the cocoa, sugar, flour, and salt together in a saucepan while it is still off the heat.
  2. Slowly whisk in the milk until smooth, then set over medium heat.
  3. Cook, whisking constantly, 6-8 min until it thickens to a pourable gravy. 8 min
  4. Off the heat beat in the butter and vanilla.
  5. Ladle hot over split biscuits and serve immediately.
