- 800g blackberries
- 200g sugar
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- For the batter: 115g butter, 190g flour, 200g sugar, 2 tsp baking powder, 1/4 tsp salt, 240ml milk

Method
- Toss the blackberries with the sugar, cornstarch, and lemon and let stand 15 min. 15 min
- Melt the butter in a baking dish in the oven as it heats to 190C.
- Whisk the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and milk into a batter and pour over the melted butter. Do not stir.
- Spoon the berries and juice over the batter; do not stir.
